Mr. Deal started teaching at Neshaminy High School during the 2004-2005 school year. For the 2019-2020 school year Mr. Deal teaches AP weighted / dual enrollment for college credit Microeconomics, Macroeconomics as well as the Personal Finance & Investment course
Before teaching at Neshaminy, Mr. Deal worked in private industry for 26 years. Most of his career was with the old "phone company" of Bell of PA / AT&T in sales, marketing and management. During his youth Mr. Deal had a paper route, worked in a delicatessen, was a dishwasher, short order cook, bouncer and bartender in a bar and worked in a steel mill. He feels he inherited his excellent work ethic from his parents.
In his spare time, he enjoys trout and salmon fishing, as well as kayaking with a friend and dancing to mention a few of his interests.
Mr. Deal, a 1972 graduate of Neshaminy, can recall his favorite memories of high school being gym night. "I remember the dances, the magic carpet ride, tug of war, and can even remember my dance partners,” he said. He highly recommends everyone participate in Gym Night. However, he credits teachers with getting him interested in the stock market, math and helping to keep him out of trouble. Mr. Deal said “I have lived a charmed life. My parents clearly had a big role in that, but so did many of my teachers. I now want to give back to others what has been given to me."
