  • No Shave November

    • It’s that time of year again when some of the men here at Sandburg let their whiskers grow to cover their faces (much to the delight of some of the other staff members) in the effort to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  This 3rd annual “No Shave November” event is our way of giving to this great cause and you can help by clicking on the link below and making a donation.  Growing beards doesn’t help cure cancer…the dollars behind those beards do!
    • Thank you for your generosity in advance and remember that no donation is too small!

    • Our next dance is our ever popular GLOW DANCE on 11/22/19 from 7pm-9pm. The kids wear neon or white and they will glow under the blacklights! We do not sell tickets in advance, the students pay at the door and the cost of admission is $5.00. We will also be selling pizza for $2.00 a slice, chips and baked goods for $0.50 each, candy and drinks are $1.00 each. We will also be selling glow merchandise, neon scrunchies and stickers! The dance is for Sandburg students only, they must show their current ID to enter.

    • For parents who have not had children attend the dances before, you drop your child off at the main entrance close to 7PM. Doors open a few minutes before 7PM so we can begin forming a line for admission. The line would move faster if the kids have their school ID's out and ready along with their $5.00. We can not release any students before 9PM so if for any reason your child needs to leave before the dance is over you will need to enter the school to retrieve them. For pick up at 9PM, you form a line of cars in front of the school essentially in the fire lane. If there are a lot of cars a second line of cars will need to be formed next to the original line of cars. We hope you understand our desire to keep the students safe! The sign up genius link for volunteers for the dance will be coming out soon! Thank you for everyone who is able to donate items or their time to help make these dances such a success for our Sandburg students!

    • SANDBURG’S SPIRIT SQUAD would like your help with filling holiday stockings for the Salvation Army. Your donations of items that are small enough to fit in a stocking for either boys or girls are greatly appreciated. Our Spirit Squad will assemble all of the stockings that will be donated to the Salvation Army for their holiday drive. Donations are to be sent in with your student no later than Thursday, November 21st.
    • Our goal is to deliver the filled stockings to the Salvation Army as early as possible this year. Below is a list of ideas for the stockings, but we will accept any new & unused items. Collection boxes are outside of the ISS room.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.  Please email with any questions.  Click here for the flyer
