  • Seven NSD schools honored for Positive Behavior programs

Five Neshaminy schools schools earned banners for their School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (SWPBIS) programs after a recent series of outside evaluations by a team of educators. The programs, which are customized for each school, promote empathy, responsibility, respect and other core character traits through a variety of activities throughout the year and as part of the daily routine. The banners indicate that the school has implemented the program with fidelity. Neshaminy has the most banners of any district in Bucks County.

Congratulations to the SWPBIS teams at Ferderbar ES, Buck ES, Hoover ES, Miller ES and Poquessing MS who earned banners for the first time. Sandburg MS and Schweitzer ES added badges for sustained fidelity to add to their banners earned in previous years. Maple Point and Tawanka are also launching their own programs this year. The banners and badges will be presented at an upcoming SWPBIS forum held in Hershey in May.
