    ¡Bienvenidos a nuestra página!

My goal for the end of the school year is to have students:

    • be able to communicate on specific topics in Spanish at a novice level,
    • be able to ask and answer simple questions and maintain simple conversations,
    • be able to understand and interpret written and spoken language,
    • identify and react to different cultural perspectives and customs,

One of my personal goals is to have students use what they know to communicate in a situation with native speakers (if the opportunity presents itself) feeling comfortable that they are getting their message across.

    Materials

Each student is responsible for the textbook Realidades 1 assigned to him/her for the year.  Students are NOT allowed to write in the textbook.  Each student will have a version of the book online to complete the homework. The link for the site is www.realidades.com your child has a username and the password will be Jennings and the number of period you are enrolled in my class.   You will need a three-ring binder, composition notebook, pencils, erasers, color pencils/crayons and black or blue ink pen. NO RED INK PEN!!

    Absences

If you have an excused absence, you will be able to complete the assignment for full credit up to 1week from the day you return.  It is the students’ responsibility to make arrangements to make-up tests before or after school.  There will be no makeup during the school day.  If you are found sluffing, you will not be able to make-up any work missed.  If you do not turn in you homework at the beginning of class on the due date you will receive the following:  75% for 1 class period(up to 2 days late), 50% for more than 1 class period (more than 2 days late).
