What should I be doing, Mr. Daly?

This is a long post, but please read the entire thing!!

First and foremost, I hope everyone is safe and healthy as we begin this extended "break." This is uncharted territory for all of us and is definitely a learning experience.

A specific message for each of my classes can be found on Canvas. This includes "Learning Opportunities" for Honors English 11 to help keep us sharp.

With that being said, I'm looking forward to reading as a way to continue learning, while also give me a break from the news. My hope is that you will continue to read as well. If you do not have a book with you, the Bucks County Free Library and our high school library/media center offer some great online resources to access books even while they remain closed.

I would still hope that you also keep up with your writing practice. For that purpose, I am asking each of you to write for a meaningful reason.  With social distancing being the recommended way to combat the current outbreak, many people in nursing homes and hospitals can no longer have visitors. One such place in Langhorne has 100 residents between the ages of 75-102, and a simple message of love and encouragement can go far in keeping spirits elevated. Send a simple note to the address below:

    Attn: Heather

    310 East Winchester Ave

    Langhorne PA 19047

Or pick a place or person that you know would really be helped by receiving mail!!

Stay safe! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me at sdaly@neshaminy.org
