  • Jeans Drive

We are having an aerial photo taken for an Art For The Sky project coming to Tawanka. The photo will have the students in the form of the eagle in the sky.  We will be having a Jeans Drive and collecting blue jeans to make the background sky for our Eagle. Any size jeans are fine, also any condition. We will be laying them on the ground.  After the picture, we will donate the jeans to a local charity. Please send jeans in by May 31st.

  • Title 1 Invitation

    Parents and Gaurdians,

Please be on the lookout for information regarding mid-year Parent/Teacher conferences that will be held in late January. The holidays provide a great opportuity to spend time together reading as a family. Here are some suggestions for how to nurture a growing reader.

     1. Read daily with your child.

     2. Notice what interests your child and help them find books about those things.

     3. Check on your child's progress by listening to them read aloud, read what they write, and ask teachers how they are doing in school.

     4. Continue reading aloud to older children even after they have learned to read independently.

     5. Praise your child's effort and newly learned skills.

  • Morning Arrival

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

Please do your part in making morning arrival smooth and safe for all children. Please have your children take the bus to school as much as possible. When your children are not taking the bus to school, please do the following:

    • Drive up as far as you can go. Mr. Wright stands where the 1st car should stop.
    • Stay in your car. There is no need to park or get out of your car.
    • Have your children ready and waiting inside the car on the curb side.
    • Have your children exit the curb side of the car.

Thank you for cooperating. These procedures will help keep things moving and help prevent blockages at the intersection.
