    When completing this activity, remember that adjectives must match the nouns that they describe.
    1.      Adjectives ending in "o," must change to "a" when speaking about a girl.
     
    2.    Adjectives must be made plural if who they are describing is more than one person. (for words ending in consonants, add "-es" and for words ending in vowels, just add "-s."
     
    3.    Adjectives ending in "-ista" do not change ever except to make them plural by adding an "-s."

    Make sure to review the present tense endings of "-ar," "-er," and "-ir" verbs in Spanish.
     
    When you are listing several activities in a row using commas in a sentence, each verb must be changed to match the subject.
     
    For example, " María lee los libros, corre en el parque, y habla mucho por teléfono."
     
    Do NOT use the verb "gustar" for this activity as you are not asked to tell what the people like to do.

    This activity assesses what you remember about the irregular verb SER as well as adjejctive agreement.

    You need to input the correct form of the verb SER and add the correct adjective form that describes the subjects.

    Therefore, if the subject is a girl and the adjective ends in an "o," you may have to change the "o" to an "a" so that there is agreement. If the subject is two girls, the adjective will need to also be plural.

    The first activity deals with what the people like to do.
     
    Remember the grammatical construction "GUSTAR + infinitive."
     
    Any activity described after GUSTAR stays in the infinitve form.
     
    The next activity deals with question words. Make sure to look at the answers provided to make your decision.
     
    Be careful with the following:
       ¿De dónde...?         Use when wanting to know where someone is from since "de" means "from."
       ¿Dónde ...?            Use when wanting to know just "where."
       ¿Adónde ...?          Use with the verb "IR" only since it means "to where ..."
     
       ¿Cuál(es)?            Use when you are asked to choose "which one" of a category. Use the plural form if the answer is more than one.

    In the first activity you need to read and understand the entire dialogue in order to choose the correct verb and the correct form.
     
    Remember, if someone asks you "What do you do Saturdays?," you would answer "I work at the restaurant." You do NOT say "I do to work at the restaurant."
     
    The same principal applies in Spanish . If I ask you "¿Qué haces los sábados?," you would answer "Yo trabajo en el restaurante." You do NOT use the "yo" form of "hacer."
     
    Also, when answering questions,
     
    1.   If the question is in the "tú" form, answer in the "yo" form since someone wants to know about just YOU.
           Example:       ¿Qué haces los fines de semana?      Yo paso mucho tiempo con mis amigos.
     
    2.   If the questions is in the "Uds." form, answer in the "nosotros" form since someone is asking about you AND your friends.
          Example:         ¿Qué hacen Ustedes los fines de semana?      Nosotros pasamos mucho tiempo con amigos.

  • Presentational Assessment

    The first couple days of school you will be assigned a day when you will give this presentation. You should have it ready to present by the second day of class.
