The Neshaminy High School offers a variety of orchestras as part of the Instrumental Music Program. The Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra ensemble with strings, winds and percussion which performs a variety of musical styles including classical, Broadway and original compositions. The Symphony Strings is a select string orchestra ensemble that performs a variety of string orchestra literature from all periods and styles. Students are selected for this group by audition. The String Orchestra is open to all string students and also performs a wide range of string literature. Performances include the Holiday and Spring Concerts, assembly programs, community performances, adjudication festivals and the Instrumental Music Department trip. String students wishing to participate in one of the above ensembles should plan to select the appropriate group as part of their course selection. Wind and percussion students are selected based on their band audition.
