    HOW YOU CAN MAKE A GOOD LIVING WITHOUT GOING TO COLLEGE

     

    If you feel that college isn’t for you then you may wish to consider a job in the building trades.  According to recent statistics there are 3 million jobs in the building trades that are looking for skilled workers.

    Mike Rowe……the guy you may have seen on DIRTY JOBS and FORD commercials is passionate about the fact that we need skilled workers in the trades and we need them NOW!!!!

    Think about it………you wake up in the morning in your home, throw a light switch, turn on the shower, get dressed and head out to work whereby you get in your car, drive on a road, cross bridges, go to a building, park, go into an office, throw another light switch pick up your phone start making calls……..NONE OF THIS would be possible without skilled trades people building homes, running electric, sewers, gas, water, paving roads and highways, constructing bridges, erecting buildings yet we take many of these things for granted.

    Somehow in the last 30 years we have convinced ourselves that the only road to success is with a four-year college degree.  Many students graduate from colleges with extreme amounts of debt and into a saturated job market. Let’s face it……..not all students are going to have success in college.
