For your convenience, this page contains some common questions asked of our registrar. If you have a question that is not listed here, please email the Central Registration at  registrar@neshaminy.org or call us at 215-809-6547. We are available from 8 am- 4 pm Monday through Friday.

How do I register my child?

Begin the process by visiting the Student Registration portal on our website. Please review and collect the items listed for registration before beginning the form. Fill the form out completely and upload the requested documents and click submit once you have completed this. One of our representatives will review your registration and will notify you with instructions to finalize the registration process.

What documents do I need to submit the online application?

To complete the online registration, you will need to upload the following

    • IMMUNIZATIONS with your child’s name on it
    • REPORT CARD / TRANSCRIPT from previous school (1st to 12th grades)
    • 2 PROOFs OF RESIDENCY for parent/guardian
      • Renting: Full signed lease/renewal lease, current utility bill and picture ID.
      • Homeowner: Current mortgage statement, 5-page deed, or current property tax bill from 3/1 OR 7/1, current utility bill and picture ID

Please visit the Registration page for additional documents that may be required for certain situations.

Do I need to make an in-person appointment to complete registration?

No. The entire registration process can be completed online. Only those parents / guardians who cannot upload documents electronically need to make an appointment (see below).

I already have older children attending Neshaminy School District. Do I still need to provide the registration information and proof of residency?

Yes. For every new student registered to attend at Neshaminy School District, a parent/ guardian must complete a registration and provide all required proofs and documents.

What should I expect once I submit the online registration?

The Registrar will look over the application and documents that you submitted to make sure everything is correct and current. You will receive an email from noreplyregistration@powerschool.com confirming your child’s registration or requesting more documents. Once your child is confirmed, the school office will contact you on the start date within 24 to 48 hours of confirmation if this is during the school year. If this is an early registration for the upcoming school year, you will receive 2 emails. One will be confirmation of registration and the other will be Home Access information. Our school year turns over July 1 for the upcoming school year. You will not see anything in Home Access for a new registration until August. Please check your school’s website for updates at the end of July.

I have a 9th grader new to Neshaminy School District. When will they select their courses?

Once you have completed the registration, the Counseling Center at Neshaminy High School will contact you to set up an appointment with a counselor to select courses.  This will normally be over the summer.

What is the deadline to register?

Neshaminy School District is a public school with no registration deadline and will enroll students who reside in Neshaminy School District boundaries all year if they meet the registration requirements. If we do not have space available in your neighborhood school, we may have to place your child in a "sister school" (the closest school that has room in your child’s grade).

When is the first day of school (2023-2024)?

Please view our 2023-2024 District calendar HERE

I don't have a scanner. How do I complete the registration?

Make a note on your registration that you will email your documents to registrar@neshaminy.org or use the tools provided on our website to upload with your smartphone.

Typical problems that guardians run into when registering include sending files that are too large (must be under 3 MB) including documents and photos. Uploading works best using the Chrome browser on a laptop or desktop PC rather than using a smartphone or other mobile device.

The last resort is to call and make an appointment with the registrar at 215-809-6547 to bring your documents to the Registration office in-person. Please note that you must have an appointment to use this option.

How long does the in-person appointment take to deliver documents?

Generally, in-person appointments take 15-30 minutes. We ask you to arrive on time and cancel any appointments you are unable to keep with us.

Do I need to bring my child to the registration appointment to deliver documents?

No. Your child is not required at the appointment, only one parent. If this is a multiple occupancy situation, then the homeowner and one parent or guardian must attend.

I will be moving to the area soon and do not have the required proof of residency yet. What options do I have?

Please email the Registration Department at registrar@neshaminy.org or call 215-809-6547 and they can advise you as to what documents are acceptable.

Do I need to re-enroll my student every year?

While your student is active, you do NOT need to re-register him or her every year. All students are required to re-prove their residency when entering 5th and 9th grade, however.

How do I register a child who has previously been enrolled in Neshaminy School District?

Students who have been out of the district for more than 10 days (vacation) must re-prove residency. If your child has attended another school other than a Neshaminy School, the registration process is the same as for a new student.

Will I need to contact the Transportation Department to set up busing for my child?

Transportation will be notified that your child has been enrolled. Your transportation information will appear in your Home Access account within 24 to 48 hours.

How do I set up my Home Access Account?

When your registration is complete, you will receive an email coming from registrar@neshaminy.org with login instructions.

What if I move from one address to another within the District?

You must complete and turn in your Change of Address form, provide 2 proofs of residency, and provide identification. If you have not changed the address on your driver’s license and do not have a current utility bill yet, you can go to this website: PA ID Change of Address to change your PA driver’s license and your vehicle registration.

I would like my child to start first grade early but they will not be 6 years old by September 1 of this year. Is that possible?

See our district policy on age requirements HERE.

Do I need to provide an immunization record at the time of registration?

Yes. All students must show proof of immunization at the time of REGISTRATION

Do my children need to have a physical or dental exam to register?

Copies of the most recent physical and dental exams are highly encouraged at the time of registration to ensure the health and safety of your child. Exams must be received by the first day of school. If your child has any medical concerns, please contact the building nurse directly.

My child has special medical needs; how will this be handled at their new school?

Please contact the health office at your child's new school for more information regarding their specific needs.
