Español 1¡Bienvenidos a nuestra página!
My goal for the end of the school year is to have students:
be able to communicate on specific topics in Spanish at a novice level,
be able to ask and answer simple questions and maintain simple conversations,
be able to understand and interpret written and spoken language,
All goals will be linked to the themes above.
identify and react to different cultural perspectives and customs,
Some of my personal goals are to create an environment comfortable enough to bring the affective filter low which will make students want to speak in the targeted language and to further develop the students' already built cultural skills to promote tolerance among each other.
Each student is responsible for the textbook assigned to him/her for the year. Students are NOT allowed to write in the textbook. Each student will have a version of the book online to complete the homework. You will need a three-ring binder, composition notebook, pencils, erasers, color pencils/crayons and black or blue ink pen. NO RED INK PEN!!
If you have an excused absence, you will be able to complete the assignment for full credit up to 1 week from the day you return. It is the students’ responsibility to make arrangements to make-up tests before or after school. If you are found sluffing, you will not be able to make-up any work missed. If you do not turn in you homework at the beginning of class on the due date you will receive the following: 75% for 1 class period(up to 2 days late), 50% for more than 1 class period (more than 2 days late).EvaluationYour final grade will be based on your assignments, quizzes, tests, reading and speaking assigments, and other projects. They will be added up and converted into a percentage for a letter grade following this scale:
Homework for each class period will be based on what was discussed in the class. There will be not homework that the student won't be able to refer the notes. Assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.Expectations
