New School Board member sworn in

NEW SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER SWORN IN

Erin Brosious, a Class of 2001 Neshaminy graduate, Langhorne resident and parent of two children attending Neshaminy schools, was chosen as a replacement School Board member at a special Board Public Meeting on February 6. She is replacing Cyndie Bowman who resigned in December from her Region 1 seat. Ms. Brosious has an extensive background in education, having worked in an administrative role at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit. She currently works for a large accounting and professional services firm as their national director of high school internships.

Two candidates were interviewed for the position at the meeting. Lower Southampton resident Steve Somogyi, a retired administrator for the New Jersey municipal court system, also applied for the seat. Both were nominated for consideration, and Ms. Brosious was appointed after a 6-2 vote. She was then sworn in by District Judge Charles D. Jonas.

Ms. Brosious will serve out the remainder of the term, which ends in December, 2025.
