Do you like to argue? Do you like to be right? Join the Debate Club and learn how to frame an argument about issues in our society to win debates. This is a team endeavor in an academic club.
Members will research, write speeches, and use critical thinking skills to debate these issues. In the spring, Maple Point hosts the Neshaminy Middle School's District Debate Tournament, where we go up against Poquessing and Sandburg Middle School debate clubs. (Participation in this tournament is optional.)
This fun and thought-provoking club is open to all 6 - 8 grade students. Meetings are weekly, beginning in the second marking period - exact date TBD from 3:00-4:00 with Mr. Nangle, Mr. Nelms & Mr. Roth in Room B-222.
Sign up form will be available once a date is set up to begin this club during the secoond marking period.
