Reading Olympics inspires kids in grades 5-8 to enjoy reading and become lifelong readers. Teams will be formed by grade level. Each team consists of 8 to 16 students who agree to read from a list of 45 books. The culminating event is a county-wide "Celebration of Reading" competition held in the Spring. At this event the Maple Point teams compete against other Bucks County schools. No team is eliminated! Every team member earns a ribbon based on the number of points earned.
Elementary Reading Olympics will be comprised of 5th graders. It will be held 2 Mondays per month 3:00-4:00 PM. Reading Olympics will begin in October.
Middle School Reading Olympics will be comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. It will be held 2 Mondays per month from 3:00-4:00 PM. Reading Olympics will begin in October.
