Location: Maple Point Middle School is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Neshamniny School District is comprised of numerous individual communities, each with its own individual personality that blends to create our district. Maple Point serves families in parts of Middletown Township and Levittown, Hulmeville, Penndel, Langhorne and Langhorne Manor.
Grade Configuration: The School District is populated with seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. The elementary schools educate grades K – 4, the middle schools educate grades 5-8, and the high school educates grades 9-12.
Academic Program: The Neshaminy School District supports the middle school program with district approved curriculums in the four core subject areas – English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, district approved curriculums are implemented in the following areas: Academic Enrichment, Art, Business Communication and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Health and Physical Education, Music, Special Education, and Technology.
Academic Technology Services: A full-service library media center is available to students. The school is technologically advanced, featuring a high-speed wireless computer network throughout the building, filtered internet access, computer labs, Smart Boards and interactive projectors in each classroom, iPad carts, and a 1:1 Chromebook program for all students.
Other Services: A full time nurse is available for the health needs of students. The school cafeteria provides a varied menu for both breakfast and lunch. Special services for hearing, speech, and language development are provided when needed. Each grade level is serviced by a full time guidance counselor.
Athletic Program: During the fall season, football, soccer, and field hockey are offered to seventh and eighth grade students. During the winter season boys and girls basketball and wrestling is offered to seventh and eighth grade students. In the spring season, softball, baseball, and track is offered to the same grades. Cheering is available throughout the school year.
Co-Curricular Program: Additional opportunities to explore personal interests exist through six clubs (Debate Club and Craft Club are examples) that meet throughout the school year, and through varied intramural programs (Soccer, Football, are examples) that also meet throughout the school year. The programs vary based on student interest.
Professional Staff: The curriculum is implemented by a staff of highly qualified professional educators. A principal and two assistant principals oversee the programs in the building. Multiple support staff members are in the building to assist with the implementation of programs.
Facility: The Maple Point Middle School is housed within one building that is shared with Neshaminy School District offices. Eighty-three classrooms are in the building. Additional learning spaces include a gymnasium, three auxiliary gymnasiums, a large group instruction room, and an auditorium.
