Welcome to Communications!! My name is Mr. Bill Barnes and I am excited to be teaching at Poquessing this year. I can;t wait to teach you Drama, Public Speaking and Debate and Reading! This is my third year back on Heights Lane. You may not know that my first teaching job was teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Poquessing. Since then I have taught 6th grade Social Studies at Neshaminy Middle School and 6th grade English and Social Studies at Carl Sandburg Middle School. I've also taught 3rd grade at Oliver Heckman Elementary and Walter Miller Elementary.When not in school I have lots of other interests. Sports are a major passion of mine. I love the Phillies and (gasp!) the Dallas Cowboys!! I also follow the Temple Owls - both the new and improved football team and the basketball team. I also enjoy running Student Council, Interact and the Debate Club here at Poquessing!Another passion of mine is supporting Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Easter Seals helps kids with disabilities so they can be the best they can be.During the summer, I head down to my favorite place - Ocean City, NJ - for some pizza and some fresh salt air!! You might find me with the music blaring on the way down as I love music of all kinds!Most importantly, I LOVE teaching and can't wait to work with YOU!!
