  • Eclipse / Early Dismissal: Monday, April 8

    All Neshaminy schools will have early dismissal on Monday, April 8 due to the eclipse. The dismissal schedule is as follows:

    • High School: Dismisses at 11:30 am
    • Middle Schools: Dismiss at 12:15 pm
    • Elementary Schools: Dismiss at 1:00 pm

    All students will receive lunch service before departure. Neshaminy Kids Club will not have an afternoon session on Monday. Additional information:

    • Co-curricular activities scheduled for the afternoon, including sports games and practices, will either be moved indoors or postponed. Please check with coaches and co-curricular advisors for details of schedule changes.
    • Evening (past 5:00 pm) co-curricular and sports activities will be held as scheduled.
    • School and district offices will be open on their normal schedules.


    PSSA / Keystone Test Dates

    The annual Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSA) and Keystone tests will be administered in April and May. Below is assessment information and dates for 2024. Additional information for students and parents about the tests will be shared in the weeks before the test dates.

    Literature Keystone May 13 and 14 in p.m.
    Biology Keystone May 16 and 17 in p.m.
    Algebra 1 Keystone May 20 and 21 in p.m.

    Middle Schools:

    April 22, 24, and 26 for ELA in a.m. for all schools
    April 29 and 30 for math in a.m. for all schools
    May 2 for science in a.m. for Maple Point and Sandburg, grade 8
    May 1 and 2 for science in a.m. for Poquessing, grade 8

    NHS Preschool Laboratory

    Registration for the Neshaminy HS Preschool Laboratory is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. Visit for more information about this unique part-time preschool program for 3 and 4-year-olds born before 2/28/2021.

    Safe2Say Something app

    Neshaminy offers the free Safe2Say mobile app for students, their families and Neshaminy staff to enhance safety throughout the District. Please click on the links below for more information about this important safety tool:

    Here Comes the Bus App

    The free Here Comes the Bus app is now available for the entire District. You can track your student's bus using up-to-the-minute GPS data using the app, which is available at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It can also be accessed on the web here.

    Student Accident Insurance

    Neshaminy does not carry medical insurance for students, but we are pleased to offer an optional low-cost group plan for those families that desire extra coverage. Click here for more information about this plan and how to register.

    1:1 Technology Information and Staff Help

    NEW students coming to Neshaminy and Kindergarten students will receive a new Chromebook device. There is no technology fee. Below are links to 1:1 Technology information and forms:

  • Carl Sandburg PTO BINGO

    Join the PTO at our BINGO on Wednesday, April 17th after school in the cafeteria. $5 admission (Sandburg Students Only), you will receive 2 boards, a soft pretzel and a bottle of water.  

    All forms (please print the form below) and money is due on Monday, April 15th. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

  • Carl Sandburg PTO - Spring Fling Dance

    • The date for our Spring Fling Dance will be April 26th from 6:30pm-8:15pm.  This is our last dance of the year!
    • If you have the availability to help with stations, donations or chaperoning this dance we will need all the help we can get to make this last dance of the year a memorable event for the students!

  • Field Day T-shirt's

    Sandburg's AMAZING Field Day is on May 24th.  The shirts this year will be the same design as last year.  Students may purchase a Field Day shirt, but it is certainly not required.

    Last names starting with the letters - A to K are on the BLUE TEAM, last names - L to Z are on the RED TEAM.

    The link will close on April 26th and the estimated delivery date for the shirts is May 15th.


    Please be sure to correctly submit your homeroom teacher in the space provided on the form.

    • There will not be SPIRIT this week (4/15 to 4/19).
    • School store will be closed until Thursday, 4/18.
    • Fitness club will meet this week on THURSDAY, 4/18, from 3-4pm.

    • Most intramural activities are afterschool until 4:00pm. Check with the advisor to be sure.  Intramural activities are sometimes canceled for various reasons.  Listen to the announcements and have a back-up plan to get home just in case your activity is canceled.

  • Sports Information

    • Click here to view the Athletic Directors webpage  - Please note - PIAA forms are needed by ALL 7th and 8th grade students that play any of the interscholastic middle school sports BEFORE they try-out.  It is recommended that you get your physical after May 31st every year. This way, it is valid for the entire school year.  PIAA forms are available to print from the Athletic Directors webpage.
