• WATER CYCLE

Precipitation: water that falls to the ground in different forms such as rain, snow, sleet, or hail due to the clouds not being able to hold the condensed water anymore.

Accumulation (collection): when water comes back to Earth from precipitation, it may fall into oceans, lakes, rivers, or end up on land in a “collection” of bodies of water.

Evaporation: the transfer of water from the surface of the Earth to the atmosphere, going from a liquid state to the gas or vapor state.

Transpiration: the transfer of water - evaporation of water – through the leaves of plants.

Condensation: the transition from vapor (gas) state to the liquid state.
