Clarke Stoneback

Welcome to my Website.  My name is Clarke Stoneback, and I am the Instrumental Music teacher for Winds and Percussion at Albert Schweitzer Elementary School, Walter Miller Elementary School and Tawanka Elementary School.  2023-24 marks my twenty-sixth year as an employee of the Neshaminy School District.  My career has taken some interesting turns.  I started out as a long-term substitute music teacher at Carl Sandburg Middle School and Joseph Ferderbar Elementary School.  I then spent eight years as a music teacher and band director at Poquessing Middle School.  I spent the next ten years as an assistant principal and principal in various schools throughout the district.  I was afforded the opportunity to return to my passion, teaching instrumental music.  I jumped on that opportunity and am thoroughly excited to return to teaching instrumental music in the school district where I have lived and worked my entire life.

Personally, I am a proud 1994 graduate of Neshaminy High School, where I was very involved in the music program.  I studied trumpet with several fantastic Neshaminy teachers.  I graduated from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) with a Bachelor of Music Degree in December of 1997.  While in college, I continued to study trumpet with an amazing professor who was also a performer with some of the big name arts groups in New York City.  I learned a lot about instrumental technique, as well as solo and ensemble performance from him and have always been eternally grateful to have studied with him.  Following my undergraduate work, I obtained my Master of Arts from Rider University in 2001, and my Master of Science in Education from Temple University in 2003.

I live in the district with my wife Holly and my daughter Chelsea.  Chelsea is an eighth grade student at Poquessing.  She is a developing trumpet player in band and singer in chorus.
