We are using the math program, Math in Focus: SingaporeMath. This program focuses onthe following aspects of math instruction:
- Singapore Math consistently employs the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract pedagogy.

§ Manipulative and visual representations are routinely used to provide a strong conceptual backbone.
§ Lessons are taught with a strong emphasis on both the how and the why to providestudents with a thorough understanding of the concepts being taught.
§ A typical lesson consists of: recall of prior knowledge, teaching new skills, guided practice, independent practice, reteaching/enrichment when necessary.
§ Approximate dates for chapter tests will be provided. Test dates will be determined by the flow and understanding of the material being taught. If additional practice is necessary, test dates may be delayed.
