Welcome to Mrs. Cahill's Website
I hope you and your child(ren) have had an amazing, fun, and relaxing summer! It’s hard to believe the school year is about to begin! This will be my 8th first day of school as an educator! This year it is going to be different for all of us! I am beyond thrilled to be introducing myself as your child’s second grade teacher this year! I am looking forward to not only meeting your child, but providing them with an enriched, authentic and exciting experience in my classroom. My goal is that your child not only grow as a learner, but continue to grow and develop as an individual in our amazing classroom community. In my classroom I encourage and empower children to choose kindness, challenge themselves, demonstrate compassion and continue to be life- long learners.
Want to know a little bit about me? I am very passionate about teaching. This is my 8th year teaching and this will be my second year in the Neshaminy School District and I could not be more excited!Last year I taught 3rd grade and now I am teaching 2nd! I graduated in 2012 from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Last summer I moved from New Jersey to Bucks County with my husband! We recently got married in October 2018 at the shore in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Stone Harbor is one of my favorite places to go and I LOVE the beach! When I am not planning lessons or grading papers you can find me at the gym. CrossFit is a passion of mine. It has enabled me to strengthen my body, but also my mind! I also enjoy trying new foods with my husband (I love dessert- all dessert) and spending time with friends and family. I just got a new puppy named Ozzy! I love him so much!
To my second graders😊,
We are going to have an amazing year together! We will begin the year online together, which I know is different but we can do it! I think it is very important that we work together as a classroom family. We will be spending a lot of time together (even virtually)! It is important that we treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain, which means you think and learn differently. It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character. I cannot wait to meet you!
With lots of love,
Mrs. Cahill
