Meet Mrs.Cariola
Hello! My name is Mrs. JoAnne Cariola and I am a third grade teacher at Joseph Ferderbar Elementary School in Neshaminy School District. I am thrilled to be back at Ferderbar for the 2024-2025 school year. I have taught first grade in Neshaminy for twelve years. This year will be my first year teaching third grade. I am very blessed to be able to make a difference in the lives of the children I teach.
My love for teaching began at a young age. I was the girl who everyone called when they needed a babysitter. In high school, I took child development classes at Neshaminy High School and knew right away that I wanted to be a teacher. After graduation, I enrolled at Bucks County Community College, took several education classes, and received my Associates Degree. After continuing my education at Holy Family College, I transferred to Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia because my husband, Matthew, who was in the US Navy was transferred to Norfolk, Virginia. It was there that I received my Bachelor's Degree. In 2010, I received my Master's of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership at Holy Family University. I received my Reading Specialist certification through Cabrini University in 2017.
When I have free time, I love to read. I could curl up with a good book and read for hours. I also love to exercise and especially enjoy walking and running. I also enjoy sewing. My husband and I are big movie watchers. We love to relax and watch movies on the weekends. I also like to watch football. Go Steelers! In addition to my wonderful husband, I am close to my family. However, two very special girls in my life are my daughters, Isabella and Julianna. Some of our favorite things to do together are take walks, play games, sing, dance, do arts and crafts, read, and go to amusement parks! We also have two special family members: Joy, and Noah, both loving and adorable Havanese dogs.
