  • Dr. Doherty joined Joseph Ferderbar Elementary School in July 2023. Prior to joining the Neshaminy Team, she served as an Assistant Principal at Butler Elementary School in the Central Bucks School District. Dr. Doherty has been an educator for over 17 years, with experience teaching in 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. She also spent time as a STEM specialist and an instructional coach.   

    Dr. Doherty started off her educational journey at the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. After spending time as a grant writer for non-profits in Philadelphia, she pursued a career in education. Dr. Doherty holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist, and earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Holy Family University. She is passionate about education and considers herself to be a life-long learner, which is a trait she encourages all students to take on.

    Dr. Doherty lives in the Neshaminy School District and has 4 children who attend Neshaminy schools. She is excited to be a part of the Neshaminy Team!
