Welcome to Health Education at Carl Sandburg Middle School. We have a very worthwhile curriculum that the students will be involved in every 4 days for the whole year.
Students should keep an eye on the sale ads so they can purchase a 1" or 2" 3 ringed binder that they will need for Health. It must be separate from other subjects as it may be collected at different times during the marking period.
It is also a good idea to have a flash drive to save any work that is done in the computer lab.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

Throughout the semester parents can access their child's grade through the parent access site. Please use it frequently to check on your student's progress.
Remember: To check your child's progress go on to Parent Access!
Now that progress reports are displayed on Home Access, how is your child doing?? Is all their homework in?? Check agenda books often and see what homework they have to do.
I am pleased to be teaching both the 6th and 8th grade curriculums. Sixth and eighth graders will be starting with Too Good for Drugs and Violence Curriculum. All packets can be found on this website.
For future reference (lesson 9) for eighth grade:
I had several questions about the video on the birth of a baby that is shown in 8th grade. The title is called "Life's Greatest Miracle", narrated by John Litgow, and can be found on PBS or Nova web site if you wish to preview.
Please check home access often to see that your child is up to date on their assignments!!
