• Students often refer to me as the "feelings teacher " because I talk with them about their feelings.  I meet with students to discuss making friends and getting along with others, making good choices, family changes and/or loss, handling conflict, controlling anger, managing worries, self-esteem, and various other topics! Students can ask to see me if they would like to talk about their feelings or whatever is on their mind.

As a part of our school’s developmental guidance program, students are invited to participate in small group counseling sessions called Lunch Bunch! Children who share a common concern meet together with the counselor to talk, share, and participate in a variety of activities. Among the activities, there will be books, games, activities, and discussion to practice new skills. Small groups with peers help foster confidence, self-esteem, and social skills. Lunch bunch groups run throughout the school year based on the needs of our student population. Parental consent is needed for your child to participate in the lunch bunch program. Please contact me if you are interested in having your child join the lunch bunch program.

I support parents, too! If you have any concerns regarding your child, please feel free to contact me via email or phone. The best way to ensure your child's academic and personal success is through communication and teamwork. For additional social-emotional resources to use at home, click here!
