Carl Sandburg

Mike Thompson is a mathematics teacher at Carl Sandburg Middle School.  He began his teaching career in 1989 at Neshaminy School District.  Over his career he has taught numerous math courses from 6th grade math through Algebra 2 and computer science.  He was the Mathematics Lead Teacher for the district from 2009 - 2012.  He has presented at regional middle school conferences and has worked as a mathematics textbook editor for a national textbook publisher.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education from Penn State University and a Masters of Education from Widener University with certification in elementary and secondary administration.  Prior to teaching he worked for a for brokerage firm in Princeton New Jersey.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family.
