• dr seuss Hello and Welcome to the 2024-2025 Kindergarten school year!! This is my 19th year of teaching since I graduated from West Chester University in 2006. I am dual certified in Elementary and Special Education and I have a Master's degree from Wilkes University in Developmental Educational Strategies. I also hold a certificate and am certified in Bullying Prevention, Diversity and Inclusion from Delaware Valley University through David M Hall Associates and The Innovative Learning Institute.

I have been married for 18 years and I have a son named Matthew who is in 7th grade this year as a new middle-schooler! I love to read, be with my family and friends, go to the beach in the summer, and travel as much as I can!

     My Philosophy On Education

I believe that each child is and should be considered an individual and their learning should be personalized.

I believe students should be motivated to strive toward a higher learning.

I believe every child has the ability and capability to learn at his/her own pace and that providing differentiated instruction to all students is a must.

I believe in taking a Humanistic approach to teaching in which self-esteem, self-worth, and the child’s overall feelings about himself or herself are most important.

I feel that each child should feel comfortable in the classroom and feel accepted for who they are.

I feel that as opposed to worrying about whether my students hear me, I should worry that they are watching me. Children are  unique and I feel I am their example and model so modeling for them is a must.

I believe that providing positive reinforcement, having a positive classroom environment, and a positive attitude are also musts within the classroom so that every child will believe that they have everything in them to succeed and be whatever they dream to be.
