Hello Parents and Student!

My name is Crystal Miller, I am a second grade long term sub at Herbert Hoover Elementary School. In April 2017,  I completed my student teaching here at Hoover in first grade and loved my experience.  This is my first year teaching and I am very excited to have the opportunity work with some of my students from last year and meet all the new second graders, as well as work alongside an amazing group of teachers and educators here at Hoover.  I am a Neshaminy graduate and have two beautiful girls that attend Neshaminy in 1st and 3rd grade.  I received my Bachelors from Temple University and my Masters in Education from Gwynedd Mercy.  I am in the process of working on my Special Education certification and hope to apply what I have learned in the classroom. 

I have worked with children my entire life as a youth sports coach (soccer, cheerleading, softball, gymnastics), and as a counselor at a summer camp.  I am very involved in our community and volunteer with the Bucks County Special Olympics. In my free time I love spending time with my husband Jason, daughters Jaelynn and Caylee and our dog Kobe, as well as the rest of my family.  

As a parent and teacher I want my students to learn and grow as individuals and as friends.  I am a kid at heart and love having the opportunity to work with such amazing kids and hear their stories.  I want my students to feel as though our class is a family, times may get rough and hectic in here but in the end we are all there for each other and will help one another succeed.  I hope to learn as much as I can from each of your children and hope they can learn a lot from me!
