Mr. Blaydon
Hello, my name is Mr. Blaydon and I am very excited to be with you this year in fourth grade at Tawanka Elementary! I have been apart of the Neshaminy School District for my whole life. As a child I went through and graduated from the Neshaminy School District, and now I am very proud and honored to be back once again. After graduating from high school, I went on to pursue my degree in elementary education. I first attended Bucks County Community College where I recieved my associates degree in gerneral eduaction. Furthering my pursuit to obtain a bachelor's degree, I attended and graduated from Temple University in their PreK-4th grade education program. I am currently earning my master's degree at Gratz College.
My first year as a certified teacher I taught as a building substitute for the former Neshaminy elementary school, Oliver Heckman. The following year I was contracted to teach second grade for the School District of Philadelphia. I remained with this school for a second year and taught third grade. I have currently been working at Tawanka for the last three years. This year I will be enter my fourth year with the distrcit and my sixth year as a full time educator.
During my free time I write, record and perform in multiple bands as a drummer. I am very passionate about integrating music, art, and culture into the classroom and hope that this year will be filled with learning expereinces far beyond the classroom. We will be working very hard this year as well as having a lot of fun along the way. I will be working very closely with the other teachers of fourth grade to ensure that each of my students reach their maximum potential in all school subjects.
