Mrs. Kathy Alford
Hello,
My name is Mrs. Kathy Alford. This is my 22th year teaching at Neshaminy. I love my job!
I graduated Kutztown University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have my Master's in Education with a certification in Special Education from Holy Family College. I started out as Reading Specialist, taught the gifted program, taught first grade, second grade, third grade and fourth grade. I am trained in Responsive Classroom teaching and believe in a student driven classroom. I also believe communication between teacher, student and parents is the key to success. Every student can learn. Every student should feel safe, supported and happy. Every student can be a STAR student!
I have been lucky enough to raise three amazing children that all graduated from Neshaminy School District. Kate, Megan and Andrew are all out of college and working close by. My husband and I moved a few years ago to Upper Black Eddy and enjoy our three-year-old Shepsky, who is very active. We like to hike, kayak, ride bikes and ski. Spending time with our family and friends is a priority.
I look forward to many more years of teaching and helping students be the best that they can be!
