My name is Tim Russell. I am the Instrumental Music Teacher and Band Director at Herbert Hoover Elementary School and Walter Miller Elementary School. I am an Alumni of Neshaminy School District. I started playing the trumpet in 4th grade at Pearl Buck Elementary, and I graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1993. I received a Bachelors of Music degree K-12 from Temple University's Esther Boyer College of Music in 1997. I also finished a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2001. I have been teaching elementary band in the Neshaminy School District since 1999. My main goal is to provide an opportunity for every 4th and 5th grader to better understand and appreciate music through instrumental performance. My 2 sons, ages 6 and 8, attend Oliver Heckman Elementary, so I definitely have a vested interest in the continued growth and success of the instrumental music program here in Neshaminy!
