Mrs. Jenna Briscella
Hello, parents! My name is Mrs. Jenna Briscella. I am a Temple University graduate and was a Philadelphia School District teacher for three years. I wanted to take some time out to introduce myself to you. I look forward to working with your child!
Background: I was born and raised in the suburban area of Bensalem. I attended gradeschool at Valley Elementary and Saint Ephrem School, both located in Bensalem. During my time at Saint Ephrem, I set my goals in order to get accepted into Nazareth Academy College Prepatory High School. It is an all-girls academy located on Grant Avenue, and it was one of the most positive and rewarding experiences of my life.
Previous Experience: I attended Temple University and was enrolled in a 4+1 Special Education Masters Program, where I received my Masters of Education in Special Education and my Bachelors of Education in Early Childhood Education. I had student teaching experience in the Philadelphia School District, Pennsbury School District, and the Hatboro-Horsham School District. I taught for three years in the Philadelphia School District in first grade at Hamilton Disston in the Tacony area. I have taught Summer Academy with the Hatboro-Horsham School District for the past four summers.
Interests: I absolutely love reading! I often spend hours of my time cuddled up with a good book. One of my favorite experiences growing up was reading the Harry Potter series. On that note, I love fantasy! Some of my favorite shows explore magical elements. I also love working with children. In college, I worked with the Pennsbury School District at KidsCare, an afterschool program. It was there that I discovered that this was my life’s work. I also enjoy spending time with my new Golden Retriever dog. I adopted him three years ago, and he loves long walks to the park to play ball and belly rubs.
