    Supply List

Please attend our  Family Orientation on August 31 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. !! I would love to meet you and show you your classroom. It would also be very helpful to bring the classroom supplies and most importantly the DISMISSAL FORM, which can be printed from my website.

This supply list is a little different than the grade level list. Please follow this list. The main difference is that I would like your child to have the primary composition book.

    • 100 Page 3 Lined Primary Composition book with a drawing space.
    • BIG Pencil bag (not box, but if you already bought a box that is fine there are less spills with a bag)
    • 10 sharpened pencils
    • 5 dry erase markers - preferably black, red, or blue (not fine point)
    • Crayons or twistables (8 or 24 pack is good)
    • 4 pocket folders (1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow and 1 green. Please put name on bottom corner with permanent marker)
    • 1 homework folder (with name on bottom corner and write homework in big letters on the front) this can be any folder your child likes.
    • One pair of blunt-tipped scissors
    • Three glue sticks
    • Head phones in a plastic bag with name - no ear buds please
    • Old shirt for an art smock in a plastic bag with name
    • 1 box of tissues
    • One hand sanitizer
    • 1 container of Clorox wipes

All of these items should fit into the pencil bag. I will also be supplying the children with various materials as well.

Water bottles are permitted; however, the bottles must have a sports top so we can prevent spills and falls. Students will have access to a water fountain in the classroom as well as a bathroom.

You will be receiving many forms on the first day of school. Look in your child’s backpack for the homework folder each night for all papers that have to be signed and returned.

Please open, complete, and return the Dismissal Form on my website. This must be returned on the first day of school or better yet, you may bring it with you to our Family Orientation on August 27 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. !! You may also drop the form off in the office. I hope to meet you at our orientation!!

I need you to help your child bring in something special to share for the first day of school. It can be anything, for example, picture of family and/or pets, stuffed animal, a toy, etc. This will help the students feel more comfortable and help them build friendships as well as help me establish a rapport with each child. I will bring in something that I enjoy doing. I will give you a hint. It is a sport that I compete in. I have to sometimes wear a blue or white uniform. It will help protect me and my loved ones. Most of all, it is a lot of fun! Try to guess what sport it is.

I look forward to meeting you and your child and having a fun-filled and successful school year.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Nesbitt
