Intramural wrestling Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3pm to 5pm, until February 6th, 2015 unless we have an away wrestling match -  meet in the wrestling room.  

  Weightlifting  will be every Monday and Wednesday with Mr. Hoelzle until 4:00pm unless otherwise noted.  All are welcome.

Does your child need extra help?? All teachers are available before school every Tuesday from 7:15-7:45 in their classrooms. No advanced sign up needed! We also offer homework help after school Monday-Thursday until 4:00 PM! It's a quiet place to get homework completed and assistance if needed! Sandburg’s Indoor Soccer Team has a game this Friday, 12/19 at 5:00 PM on Field 1 against the Horsham Union.  If you did not receive a copy of the schedule, see Coach Simons.

 The Sandburg Student Council is sponsoring a Spirit Week!  Get involved and show your Sandburg spirit!
  Monday, Dec. 22 is “Ugly Sweater Day” so dress like Mrs. Buckwalter and make her feel part of the crowd!
Tuesday, Dec. 23, as part of our Pep Rally, is “Neshaminy Pride Day.”   
 Student Council OFFICER Meeting this Friday, December 19th, during 7th Period in E-10.
The Winter Pep Rally is fast approaching!  Student Council is sponsoring the “Staff Member Pie in the Face” raffle again this year.  Buy your chances during lunch to “share some holiday cheer” with one of your teachers or a member of the Sandburg staff.  Names of teachers and staff participating are posted on the Student Council bulletin board in the Main Hall AND on the window of the Main Office.   Chances are $.25 each and you can select the teacher or staff member YOU want to have a chance pieing - similar to the Lemon Challenge.

Attention Students and Staff!  Student Council is holding another dodge ball tournament on Friday, January 16th at 5:45 PM in the Sandburg Gym.  Students – please get team forms from the Student Council bulletin board or in E-10.  Staff members – WE NEED REFEREES!  If you would like to ref, please contact Mr. Simons or Connor Watson.  Thank you for all your support!

Band, Orchestra and Choir Information

  • Week of December 15th 2014
    Attention Orchestra Students: Today’s after-school orchestra rehearsal has been cancelled, (December 19th).   Please sign-up for lessons outside of the band room. 
    Attention all music students: We will be performing in-school concerts on Monday, December 22 in the morning and the afternoon. Make sure you come dressed to school in your concert uniform for the day. No exceptions! Carl Sandburg's band and choir in school concerts are for Albert Schweitzer at 9:30am and for Carl Sandburg at 1:30pm.
    There is a jazz band informational meeting Tuesday, December 23 at 7:15am in the band room. Any student interested in trying out for jazz band must attend this meeting. See Mr. Weiner if you have any questions. 

    Attention Music Students going on the Dorney Park Music Trip: The 2nd payment for the trip will be due by Tuesday, December 22nd. This payment is also for $40.00. You can turn them into Mr. Weiner anytime between now and December 22nd

     Attention all band, chorus and orchestra students: Fundraising Candy is available to sell. $22.00 of every box you sell will go towards your Dorney Park Music Trip in May. Please see Mr. Weiner if you’d like to fundraiser for your trip.

    If you are interested in joining choir for the Spring semester and you have an afternoon study hall 5th, 6th, or 7th period, please see your guidance counselor to sign up. We're looking for people who love to sing, like Mike Thomas, who would be a great addition to our group. We'd love to have you.
