8th grade Information:
 
Attention all 8th graders:  The Al Durante Service Award applications are now ready.  Do you display service to school and community?  Do you volunteer in your neighborhood?  Are you a boy/girl scout?  If so, then you may be the next recipient of the esteemed Al Durante Service Award.  Pick up your application in the girl’s PE office and return it by May 11 to the PE Dept.  Good luck to all!!
 
The Al Durante Service Award applications are now ready for any 8th grader interested in applying.  Please see any PE teacher for an application.  They are due May 11. 
  
8th Grade Social - 7pm at Neshaminy High School on Friday, June 10th. 
 

Now that we are (hopefully) done with snow days, we are excited to announce that the 8th Grade Move-Up Day ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 14 from 8:30-10:30 AM in the auditorium. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend!  

Looking for something exciting and different to do next year?  The Neshaminy High School Color Guard is seeking incoming freshman for the 2016-17 season.  As a member, you will perform with the award winning Neshaminy High School Marching Band.  The Color Guard is the visual ensemble of the marching band, using flags, rifles, sabers, dance and props to interpret the musical presentation.  No previous experience is necessary as all skills required will be taught during the clinic sessions.  Clinic sessions will be held March 16, April 4, 19, May 9, 24 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM in Gym 1 at the high school.  Come out to see what Guard is all about.  Contact Mr. Lipton at the high school with questions or for more information - mlipton@neshaminy.k12.pa.us

 


Afterschool Activities/Intramurals:

Challenge 24 Club - Come and join the fun and work towards representing Sandburg for the competition in May!  See Ms. Koczynski or Mrs. Romberger for details.

 

Debate team -  Debate night last night was a successful one with three teams taking second place and one team taking third. It was a very impressive event and all members should be very proud of themselves!  Don't forget members: our party is on Tuesday, 5/3, in D-4 from 3-4. See you then and congratulations!

 

Fitness club is on Monday and Thursday's from 3pm to 4pm with Mr. Hoelzle.

Intramural flag football is on Tuesday and Thursday's from 3pm to 4pm with Mr. Durante, weather permitting. 
 
Intramural Indoor Floor Hockey - starts 4/25.  Students MUST have a completed/signed intramural form in order to participate.  Meet in the Gym at 3.  See Mr. Simons in E-10 if you have any questions.
 

Intramural Indoor Soccer - Intramural Indoor Soccer has been cancelled for today, 4/29, because Coach Simons is absent.

 
Intramural swimming begins Monday, March 28 from 3-4 PM.  Pick up an intramural form in the office and give it to either Mr. Bogart or Mrs. Martian.  Come out and play with your friends in the new and improved pool!!
