  • 8th grade Information

    • Applications for the Al Durante Service Award are now available from the PE Department.  If you perform community service and are active in school service, please consider applying for the award!  All applications are due by May 10 at 2:45.  Don’t miss the deadline!!
    • 8th Grade Move Up Day will be on June 13th, 2017, at 9:00 AM.
    • Looking for something exciting and different to do next year? The Neshaminy High School Color Guard is seeking incoming freshman for the 2017-18 season.  As a member, you will perform with the award winning Neshaminy High School Marching Band. The Color Guard is the visual ensemble of the marching band, using flags, rifles, sabers, dance and props to interpret the musical presentation. No previous experience is necessary as all skills required will be taught during the clinic sessions.  Clinic sessions will be held April 26, May 3, 15, 19 and June 2 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM in Gym 1 at the high school.  Come out to see what Guard is all about.  Contact Mr. Lipton at the high school with questions or for more information.

  • Art Show

    The annual Sandburg Art Show will be held the night of the Instrumental Spring Concert on Thursday, May 11th.   Start time is 6 pm followed by the concert which begins at 7 pm.

    • Our Spring concert dress rehearsal will be Tuesday May 9th Afternoon from 3-5:10 in the auditorium. This dress rehearsal is Mandatory.

  • Debate Club

    The debate team had their competition last night, 4/27, against Poquessing and Maple Point.  Sandburg put up quite a fight and walked away with one blue ribbon, three red ribbons, and one yellow ribbon.  Great job team!  Please listen to the announcements for when our party will be scheduled.

  • PTO Information

    • Our newest fundraiser is Uncle Jerry's Tees.  This fundraiser will run till May 5th.  You can send in your order with your student to school or Uncle Jerry's Tees has online ordering. You may place your order online by logging onto, click on shop now and enter code 1074 and add the students name to receive credit.  We will have prizes -Top seller overall -Top classroom  (top selling classroom, each student will win a  small prize) -Teacher of top selling classroom -1 random seller will win a prize as well (anyone who sells as little as one 1 item will be put in a drawing to win a prize)

    • Attention all track and field athletes.  There is NO practice today, 4/28. Be ready for our meet on Monday.

    • An away 7th grade baseball and 7th grade softball game has been added for Monday, 5/1/17, at Poquessing.
    • The home track meet against Charles H Boehm that was canceled on Tuesday, 4/25/17 is now rescheduled for Tuesday, 5/2/17.
    • The away 7th grade softball game on 5/8/17 at Richboro MS is canceled.
    • The home 7th grade softball game on 5/15/17 against Holland MS is canceled.

  • Student Council

    • Attention Students!  The Student Council Dodgeball Tournament is JUST around the corner.  We are pleased to partner with the NJHS as we host the tournament this year.  The FIRST tournament is for 7th and 8th Grade students ONLY and is on Friday, May 5th in the Sandburg Gym.  Form your teams of up to 6 players but each team MUST be from the SAME grade level.  Team Captains – pick up a team form from the Student Council bulletin board in the main hall or room E-10.  Every player MUST have a completed and signed permission slip.  Team Captains – return your competed Team Forms to Mr. Simons in E-10.  Any questions, see a Student Council Representative, member of NJHS, or Mr. Simons.

  • Day of Action

    Community groups, state representatives and school officials are joining the Neshaminy certified and support staff in a 'Day of Action' celebration of public education Monday May 1, 6-8 pm at Carl Sandburg Middle School. The event will feature music, exhibitors, vieos and remarks by elected officials, alumni and community organizations.
