  • Congratulations to our Reading Olympics Team, "The Dreamers"!

    At the Middle School Reading Olympics Competition on 4/20, our team, "The Dreamers", won all three rounds of the competition!  Team Dreamers scored Poquessing's highest total on record - 62 points out of the 50 points required for a Blue Ribbon of Victory!!  The team members are Natalie Meyer, Victoria Kreft, Divya Asiedu-Danquah, Taanvi Bhasin, Nicole Simonyan, Nicole Kotchkina and Stephen Lang.  Congratulations to all of our participants.

  • Poquessing Music Students Receive Scholarships

    We are pleased to announce that several Poquessing Music Students received $200 music scholarships from the Langhorne Council for the Arts. The scholarships will be used for private lessons.  Congratulations to Natalie Meyer (clarinet) and Devin Sinn (trumpet) who were awarded scholarships for instrumental music, and to Kate Bilenko, Dan Bondarenko, Lily Gonglik and Cody Lewandowski who were awarded scholarships for voice.  We are very excited for these students to have this opportunity.

  • Poquessing Instrumental Music Students head to NHS Wind Ensemble

    Three of our 8th grade students auditioned for, and were accepted to the NHS Wind Ensemble!!  Congrats to Alexandra Magdelinskas (flute), Natalie Meyer (clarinet) and Eric Gross (trumpet) - we are proud of you and we wish you great success at NHS!!!!

  • Annual Earth Day Poster Contest

    We have our winners for the 4th Annual Earth Day Poster Contest.  The theme this year that was chosen by the Environmental Club was "Your Hands Can Change the World".  There was a tie for 3rd Place, each poster receiving a $10 prize: Carly Campbell, Pearl Smith, Alyssa Rokhvarg and Gianni Ramirez.  Our 2nd Place winner was James Gonglick with a $15 prize.  Our 1st Place winner is Dina Gasimova who receives a $50 prize. Congratulations to all of the winners!!!!  Thank you to Student Council for sponsoring the contest and judging the posters.

    • The 8th grade Recognition Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 13th.  More details to follow.

    Teacher of the year!

     Our own health & physical education department chair and teacher Brooke Lesser was named Teacher of the Year for the Middle School Southeastern Division by the Pennsylvania Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Congratulations, you make us proud to be Team Poquessing!

  • Day of Action

    Community groups, state representatives and school officials are joining the Neshaminy certified and support staff in a 'Day of Action' celebration of public education Monday May 1, 6-8 pm at Carl Sandburg Middle School. The event will feature music, exhibitors, vieos and remarks by elected officials, alumni and community organizations.
