  • Penny Challenge

The 4th grade Student Council has started “THE PENNY WAR” challenge! As a community fundraiser to help build a special needs playground in Bucks County, council members started the challenge between Mrs. Fisher’s and Mrs. Callahan’s classes. Students are asked to dig deep for coins to help fill their classroom fundraising jars and “win” the challenge! The Student Council members are working hard on writing speeches to introduce the challenge to our other classrooms to promote this worth while community fundraiser!

  • Lunch Bunch

One way we provide support for students is through Lunch Bunches. Your child may be the Guest of Honor to have lunch with a few friends in the Guidance Office. It is a fun way to get to know one another and can help children form and strengthen friendships. These meetings are also an opportunity to check in with students who are going through a difficult time at school or at home. These groups are formed based on parent and teacher referrals. Parent permission is required to participate in Peer Support Groups. These groups meet once a week at lunch, generally for 6-8 weeks. It is an excellent opportunity for students to learn skills that will benefit them for life. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 215-809-6365 or via e-mail at cconnolly@neshaminy.org.
