How often do student musicians get to learn directly from the composer who created their music? On March 13, the Junior Honors Chorus at Sandburg was honored to welcome Dr. Rollo A. Dilworth to Neshaminy. During rehearsal, the 4th and 5th grade students were able to interact with and receive guidance from a composer of one of their pieces. Dr. Dilworth is a professor at Temple University and a prominent composer of spirituals and folk songs. This experience was made possible by their directors, Brian Barber and Paul Tosti. The music department is looking forward to a wonderful working relationship with one of America’s finest modern composers and arrangers.
