Guest Teacher Program

Fast-track your career in substitute teaching by participating in a Guest Teacher Program. The program provides substitute teacher training to people who have a Bachelor's Degree but do not hold an active Pennsylvania teaching certificate.

ESS / Source4Teachers has partnered with Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22 to provide a Guest Teacher Program. This program is offered to those who wish to substitute teach in Bucks County.

ESS Guest Teacher Program Information (October, 2020)

Participants will receive step-by-step instructions on how to apply for their Emergency Permit in addition to the necessary requirements mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).

The interactive training sessions will cover:

* Planning and Preparation

* Professionalism

* Classroom Management

* Special Education

* Instructional Strategies

* PDE Mandates

The cost is $95 for the training. All applicants will need the following completed:

  • PA State Criminal Record Check (dated within one year)
  • Child Abuse Clearance (dated within one year)
  • FBI fingerprinting receipt (dated within one year)
  • Arrest Conviction Report
  • Negative TB Test Results/Physical (dated within one year)
  • SEALED transcripts for your Undergraduate Degree
  • Completed ACT 168 forms
  • Form 338G
