What Technology Education is Not:
It's not job training. That is done by Vocational Education Technical Schools (The Tech School - Bucks County Technical High School (BCTHS)
It's not 'Shop" any more. Though we use tools, (and some classes use a lot of them) the main emphasis is on
problem solving and design with many hands-on activities. We have many more computers in our department
than hammers and screwdrivers! Tech Ed has many computer labs, video editing labs and miscellaneous
computers for other purposes.
The program is not, however, solely computer courses. Computers are used for Computer Aided Drafting,
Graphics Design, Video Production, etc. Computer repair or maintenance is not covered by our area.
