Dear Parents/Guardians,

On behalf of Team 7-C we would like to welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year. We look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your children achieve their highest potential. We understand that in order to be successful students need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for your child’s success and look forward to working collaboratively. We ask that you guide and support your children’s learning by ensuring that they:

* Attend school daily and arrive to class on time

* Complete assignments given by teachers

* Adhere to expectations and due dates

* Come prepared with necessary materials

* Replenish supplies as needed 

* Work to develop literacy skills

* Share school experiences with you on a daily basis 

* Inform you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

* Check teacher websites daily for homework, assignments and information

* Check Home Access regularly for updated grade information

Below is a general supply list for the school year:

* Blue or black pens 

* Pencils

* Colored pens and colored pencils

* Assortment of highlighters

* Dry erase markers with eraser

* White-Out

* 3-ring binder per class (2 inches)

* Pocketed folders (2)

* Loose leaf paper (college ruled preferred)

* One composition book

* Glue sticks

* (4) packs of dividers 

* Texas Instruments 30XIIS calculator (recommended for all pre-algebra) 

* Texas Instrument Graphing Calculator TI-84 Plus (recommended for Algebra 1)

* Sticky notes (various sizes)

* Box of tissues 

* 3x5 index cards (enough for three classes)

* Flash drive

* Novel for “Five Minute Read”
