First Grade Supply List
Welcome to First Grade at Tawanka Elementary School! Though we supply many
items that will be used throughout the year, there are a few things that will help
your child have a wonderful school year. Please send in supplies labeled with your
child’s name. We are looking forward to a great year together!

• A backpack (large enough to fit folder easily)
• 12 yellow sharpened pencils
• 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons
• 1 pair of Fiskars Kids scissors
• 4 glue sticks
• 1 pair of straight, single jack headphones in a Ziplock bag. Please write your
child’s name in permanent marker on both the bag and the headphones.
• 1 box of tissues
• 2 large erasers
• 4 black dry erase markers
• 1 container of play-doh (any color)
• Pencil box approximately 8”x 5”
• 1 RED plastic folder with pockets and prongs 
• 1” white binder with clear view cover
• 1 package of 8 tab plastic binder dividers
• 1 hand sanitizer or Clorox wipes

Please also purchase a supply of sharpened
pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue sticks to
be used for homework.
