Our Physical Education program focuses on the skills, knowledge and behaviors important to leading a healthful physically active life. Instructional emphasis is placed on what children need to know and be able to do to safely and successfully participate on their own.
Movement strategies and concepts are a priority. Movement skills are introduced and practiced in class. Students are encouraged to use skills outside of class to develop competency. Students learn skills to effectively work with others through team building and challenge activities.
The importance of fun and enjoyment of physical activity is stressed along with the health benefits.
