Welcome to Ferderbar Elementary School. Below are the procedures to follow when registering a child at our school.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
KINDERGARTEN -Children shall be admitted to Kindergarten in September if their 5th birthday occurs on or before September 1st.
GRADE 1 - Children may be admitted to grade one in September if their sixth birthday occurs on or before September 1st.
THE FOLLOWING WILL ASSIST YOU IN REGISTERING YOUR CHILD:

A parent must accompany the child to be registered.

A birth certificate or hospital birth registration certificate must be presented at registration.
|
 |
You will need your child’s social security number.
|
 |
Children must be registered at the school they will attend.
|
 |
Written physicians verification showing dates of all immunizations is required at the time of registration.

 |
Proofs of residency in the Neshaminy School District must be provided by the parent or guardian (tax receipts, agreements of sale, drivers registration or other legal documents indicating permanent address may be used as proof of residency). |
IMMUNIZATION
Registration will not be considered complete until written verification of the dates of immunization is shown. In accordance with Pennsylvania law, children will be barred from entering school in September, unless all of the immunizations listed below are complete.

4 doses of tetanus and diphtheria received in any of the following combinations: Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (DPT) or; Tetanus/Diphtheria (DT), or (Td) Vaccine.

3 doses of live oral polio vaccine or 4 doses of Salk (Injectable) - vaccine.
|
 |
2 doses of live measles vaccine given on or after the first birthday or a blood test showing antibody protection.
|
 |
1 dose of live rubella vaccine given after the first birthday or a blood lest showing antibody protection.
|
 |
1 dose of live mumps vaccine given on or after the first birthday or a signed physician's statement indicating your child had mumps disease.
|
 |
3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine.

SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING IMMUNIZATIONS
Strict exceptions to the listed immunizations are provided only on medical, religious or moral grounds. Consult the Office of Pupil Services (752-6395) or your school principal for details on procedures for exceptions.
Parents are encouraged to keep official physicians records of your child's immunizations. In order to protect the health and well-being of all children. Immunizations are required.
All of the school districts in Pennsylvania must comply with
Immunization laws. Virtually all states of the United States have laws which meet or exceed the Pennsylvania requirements.
Your cooperation in assuring that your child is properly immunized will be appreciated.
