Here is some important information/dates relating to upcoming testing within the Math Department as well as Course Selection for next year:

6^th, 7^th, & 8^th Grade:

PSSA:  Exact dates TBD.

7^th Grade Pre-Algebra:

In 8^th grade, Honors Algebra 1 and Accelerated Algebra is offered to those students who qualify.  Those who do not qualify are placed into Algebra 1 Part 1.  Placement into 8^th Grade Accelerated Algebra is based on three different pieces of criteria: IAAT score, Pre-Algebra Indicator score, and 7^th grade performance.  The IAAT and Pre-Algebra Indicator are both placement tests.  The 7^th grade performance is based on each child’s Pre-Algebra marking period grades as well as teacher recommendation.  The placement tests do not count toward the child’s grade but are extremely important in the placement process.  Please encourage your child to perform at his/her best on these tests to help ensure their proper placement in Math for the following year.  The window for these testing dates is as follows:
