My name is Wendy Uzelac
and I will be your child's AE teacher this year.

Last year I taught the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade AE students at Maple Point.  I also taught French I and II.  I've been with the Neshaminy School District for 7 years now as both a foreign language teacher and an AE teacher.  I have both elementary and secondary education certificates.  I'm looking forward to working with the elementary level AE students this year.  We have a diverse curriculum which will hopefully be interesting and challenging.

I will be working in 3 elementary schools this year.  I will meet with all of the AE parents individually to prepare the GIEP papers for 2009.  Any questions or concerns you have about the program may be addressed at that time.

My philosophy with AE students is to try to challenge them in all academic areas.  We will be writing in journals, doing math problems solving, and exploring several areas in the liberal arts.  For example; the older grades will be working on the life and works of William Shakespeare while the younger grades will be learning about the history and design of fairytales.

My goal is to help develop sustaining organizational skills and serve each student as best I can.  I am excited to implement our progressive AE curriculum.
